Team Penske Appoints Diuguid and Law to New Leadership Roles
Mooresville, NC – Team Penske has elevated Jonathan Diuguid and Travis Law to critical leadership positions, further shaping the organization’s racing strategies across multiple series. Diuguid will serve as President of Penske Racing, Inc., while Law steps into the role of Competition Director.
Both Diuguid and Law have extensive histories with the Penske organization, combining for 38 years of service that includes several championship titles in sports car racing and IndyCar.
Under Diuguid’s leadership as Managing Director of Porsche Penske Motorsport, the team secured back-to-back victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2024 and 2025, clinched the 2025 12 Hours of Sebring, as well as the 2024 IMSA GTP Championship and the 2024 World Endurance Drivers’ Championship. Diuguid’s tenure in the motorsports realm began in 2005 with the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 program, followed by a seven-year stint as an IndyCar race engineer.
Commenting on his promotion, Diuguid stated, “The opportunity to lead the Team Penske efforts across the IndyCar Series, IMSA, and WEC is a tremendous responsibility… the best way to show my appreciation… is to ensure our success continues well into the future.”
Law, originally from Maquoketa, Iowa, joined Penske in 2007. He has risen to prominence from his initial role as an IndyCar tire specialist to become a chief mechanic for two-time IndyCar champion Josef Newgarden. He previously held the position of Competition Director for Porsche Penske Motorsport.
Reflecting on his new role, Law said, “Success is what is expected at Team Penske… I am ready to get to work.”
This leadership transition comes on the heels of a significant shakeup following a cheating scandal during the Indianapolis 500 time trials, resulting in the dismissal of President of Team Penske IndyCar Operations Tim Cindric, Former IndyCar Managing Director Ron Ruzewski, and IndyCar Program General Manager Kyle Moyer.
Penske’s NASCAR operations, led by President Michael Nelson and Vice President of Competition Travis Geisler, remain unaffected by these changes.
