Pfaff Motorsports Unveils Special Livery for Monterey SportsCar Championship
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca—Pfaff Motorsports will debut a unique livery on their #9 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 during the TireRack.com Monterey SportsCar Championship this weekend. This marks the continuation of the Canadian team’s tradition of showcasing special designs at Laguna Seca.
Team Manager Steve Bortolotti highlighted the significance of the new livery: “It’s a chance for us to get creative and have some fun. This year’s concept is inspired by vintage Motul designs from the 1980s, reflecting our passion for that era.”
The chosen design was part of a fan engagement initiative, where supporters voted on their preferred look. The winning livery integrates contemporary elements inspired by Motul’s branding, emphasizing Pfaff’s commitment to blending tradition with modern aesthetics.
Bortolotti added, “Both liveries were designed by C17 Auto Armour, and our partnership with Motul showcases our shared passion for motorsport.” This collaboration has produced notable liveries in recent years, including a retro design paying homage to iconic cars like the McLaren MP4/4.
Currently, drivers Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli seek redemption following a DNF at Daytona and a tenth-place finish at Sebring. Pfaff’s best result in 2024 came at Laguna Seca, where they finished second—a mark they look to replicate.
This weekend’s race offers an opportunity for the #9 Lamborghini to capitalize on its recent competitive history and rejuvenate their season.
