Doriane Pin Joins Peugeot TotalEnergies as Development Driver for FIA WEC
Peugeot TotalEnergies has unveiled the appointment of Doriane Pin as a development driver within its FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Hypercar program. The reigning F1 Academy drivers’ champion returns to sports car racing this season, competing with Duqueine Team in both the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans in an ORECA 07 – Gibson LMP2.
Pin’s inclusion also sets the stage for her participation in the FIA WEC Rookie Test, where she will drive Peugeot’s 9X8 Hypercar for the first time during the upcoming post-season test in Bahrain. To prepare, she will undertake multiple simulator sessions and collaborate closely with Peugeot’s engineering teams.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Pin stated, “Joining Team Peugeot TotalEnergies as a development driver is a great source of pride for me… It’s a big step toward my goals, and I’m determined to make the most of it with the ambition of becoming an official driver.”
Emmanuel Esnault, Team Principal of Peugeot TotalEnergies, echoed her sentiments, emphasizing the team’s excitement about her contributions. “Doriane’s track record and dynamic approach make her a fantastic addition to our development programme… We are eager to see her get behind the wheel during the FIA WEC Rookie Test in Bahrain this November.”
Pin will collaborate with fellow development driver Alex Quinn, also competing in the ELMS this season, as Peugeot builds toward an ambitious future in endurance racing.
