Creventic Announces 2026/27 24H Series Middle East Trophy Opening Round in Qatar
Lusail, Qatar – The Lusail International Circuit will host the opening round of the 2026/27 24H Series Middle East Trophy, with the Michelin 8H Qatar scheduled for December 11-12, 2026. This inaugural event marks a significant addition to the Middle East racing calendar, coinciding with a full series slated entirely in the Gulf region.
Creventic’s latest announcement emphasizes logistical advantages for teams, allowing equipment to be shipped early in the winter and retained in the Gulf during the pivotal December and January months. This setup facilitates participation in the 2027 Dubai 24 Hours, enhancing the competitive racing landscape.
Testing sessions will precede the race weekend, with two CR Track Days set for December 9 and 10.
Helen Roukens, General Manager of Creventic, stated, “We are very proud to announce this new race in Qatar. Our races in Dubai and Abu Dhabi have laid a strong foundation, and with the addition of Qatar, we aim to provide a complete and attractive winter racing program.”
Abdulaziz Al Mohannadi, CEO of Lusail International Circuit, expressed eagerness to host the event, emphasizing Qatar’s commitment to international motorsport: “Hosting this endurance event reflects our continued commitment to bringing international motorsport to Qatar and contributes to our status as a destination for global competitive events.”
While enhancing its presence in the Middle East, Creventic also plans to return to Asia, with the Qatar race set as the final round of the Chinese Endurance Championship in 2026.
