Rebel Rock Racing Enters GT3 with Ambitious Goals at Sebring

Sebring, FL – Rebel Rock Racing made its highly anticipated GT3 debut at the Apex One Endurance Sebring 10 Hour event last weekend, featuring a new Aston Martin Vantage GT3. While the team faced early setbacks, their strategic path moving forward remains clear.

Acquired by Frank DePew in 2016, Rebel Rock has long aimed to elevate its competition level. The team plans to participate in the 2026 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and selected endurance races, pending final schedule confirmation.

Team Manager and driver Robin Liddell emphasized, “This is an idea that we’ve flirted with since 2020, so to finally have taken delivery of the car and be heading down to Sebring to test and race it for the very first time is super exciting.”

Liddell, returning to GT3 racing after eight years, acknowledged the challenge ahead. “It will be something of an unknown for all of us. I’m not oblivious to the personal challenge… making sure the team has everything they need to operate such an advanced piece of kit.”

Rebel Rock boasts a strong pedigree in the GT4 category, with an 11.6% winning percentage in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series over the last seven years. Notably, the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo secured its maiden global victory at Sebring in 2024.

Looking forward, Liddell expressed confidence in the team’s capability to offer competitive customer solutions in the IMSA framework. “We are keen to stay in IMSA but will consider other opportunities if they make sense,” he stated.

As Rebel Rock Racing transitions into GT3, their commitment to excellence and competitive racing remains unwavering.
