SRO America Unveils Revised 2026 Racing Calendar

SRO America has officially finalized its 2026 calendar, introducing Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and Road America as the marquee mid-summer venues. Road Atlanta, a notable return since the 2011 Pirelli World Challenge, is scheduled for June 12–14. This timing, however, will coincide with the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours, raising concerns among participants regarding their availability.

In contrast, Road America will maintain its presence in the schedule, with events slated for August 28–30.

Beyond venue changes, significant format revisions are on the horizon. The GT World Challenge America powered by AWS will transition its race structure from 90-minute sprint doubleheaders to three-hour long-distance events, except for the Indianapolis 8 Hour.

Additionally, the GT America series, which faced entry challenges in 2025, is set to evolve by permitting one-make homologated race cars, such as Porsche Cup, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and Ferrari Challenge vehicles, for the 2026 season.

These developments signal a strategic shift in SRO America’s approach as it aims to enhance competition and appeal to a broader array of racers.
