Road To Le Mans 2025: Grid Complete for 10th Edition
The entry list for the 2025 Road To Le Mans support races, scheduled for June 12 and 14, is finalized with a record 58-car grid across three classes. This year marks a significant evolution with the introduction of the new Toyota turbo V6 engines for the LMP3 cars and the expansion to three distinct categories: LMP3, LMP3 Pro/Am, and GT3.
LMP3 Class
The LMP3 field comprises 23 cars driven by Silver and Gold-rated racers. Championship leaders CLX Motorsport will field three vehicles, including the #87 Ligier driven by Alvise Rodella and Pierre Alexandre Provost, along with the #97 Ligier featuring Cedric Oltramare and defending RTLM champion David Droux. The #37 Ligier, driven by ELMS leaders Theodor Jensen and Adrien Closmenil, rounds out a competitive lineup. The class showcases a mix of four chassis manufacturers: 15 Ligier JS P325s, five Duqueine D09s, two Adess AD25s, and one Ginetta G61-LT-P325 EVO.
Previous winners include Maximus Mayer with High Class Racing and Colin Noble returning with Nielsen Racing. DKR Engineering, a three-time victor, alongside CLX Motorsport, also holds a storied place in RTLM history.
LMP3 Pro/Am Category
The Pro/Am category features 20 entries, led by Stefan Aust and Felipe Fernandez-Laser in the #71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier. Notably, Thomas Laurent, the inaugural RTLM winner in 2016, returns in the #2 DKR Engineering Ginetta alongside Antti Ramo. Former GT3 champion Fabien Lavergne will also compete in the #88 R-Ace GP Duqueine.
GT3 Class
Fifteen entries make up the GT3 grid, showcasing prominent teams like Ebimotors, AF Corse, and Kessel Racing. Defending champion David Fumanelli will race in the #33 Kessel Racing Ferrari alongside Murat Ruhi Çuhadaroglu, as they aim to close the gap to championship leaders Rory Van Der Steur and Philipp Sager in the #11 Aston Martin from Code Racing Development. The grid also features 2018 GT3 winner Christoph Ulrich in the #55 AF Corse Ferrari and regular IMSA racers Parker Thompson and Tony Macintosh teaming up in the #59 Aston Martin.
In a nod to diversity, the grid includes four female competitors, such as Léna Bühler and the Iron Dames duo of Vanina Ickx and Marta García Lopez.
Schedule
Qualifying for the Road To Le Mans will commence on June 12, followed by Race 1 that evening, and Race 2 on June 14, preceding the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, set to start at 4 PM.
