Rutronik Racing Announces Dual Manufacturer Strategy for 2026 GT World Challenge Europe
Rutronik Racing will continue its participation in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup for the 2026 season, fielding a Porsche in the Bronze Cup while also entering a Lamborghini Temerario GT3 in the Pro category. The German team, which secured the Endurance Cup teams’ title last year with Porsche, aims to build on its success with a new multi-manufacturer strategy.
In the Bronze Cup, Rutonik’s #97 Porsche 911 GT3 R will compete with a driver lineup featuring Antares Au, Ricardo Pera, and reigning overall champion Sven Müller. Müller, a contracted Porsche driver, is returning for his third consecutive season with Rutronik after contributing to significant achievements, including a runner-up finish at the 24 Hours of Spa and victories in the Sprint Cup.
Au, who aims to enhance his performance after a strong debut season where he won two races and finished second in the Bronze Cup drivers’ championship, expressed enthusiasm about returning to Rutronik. “I hope we can build on the positives and achieve greater results together this season,” Au stated.
Pera, the reigning FIA WEC LMGT3 drivers’ champion, is set for his Gold Cup debut with Rutronik after making a one-off appearance at last year’s 24 Hours of Spa.
Team principal Klaus Graf emphasized the significance of the dual manufacturer approach, thanking both Porsche and Lamborghini for their collaboration. “The continuation of our collaboration with Sven Müller will certainly be a great added value,” Graf noted, highlighting Müller’s experience and success.
The 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup is scheduled to kick off at Circuit Paul Ricard on April 10-11, featuring a six-hour race as the season opener.
