Scherer Sport PHX Returns to Action in Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie
Scherer Sport PHX, a veteran in endurance racing with seven ADAC 24H Nürburgring victories, is set to make its season debut at the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) this weekend. The team will compete with the #16 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, driven by seasoned racers Christopher Haase and Nico Hantke.
Driver Insights
Christopher Haase, a two-time Nürburgring 14 Hours champion with Scherer Sport PHX, reunites with the team after a seven-year absence. His extensive experience at the ‘Ring is expected to bolster the team’s performance.
Nico Hantke, a rising star at just 22, brings valuable recent experience from the ADAC GT Masters, where he secured multiple victories and finished fourth in the championship standings. Hantke’s sole appearance in the NLS’ SP9 category last year indicates his readiness for the challenges ahead.
Recent Performance
In 2025, Scherer Sport PHX showcased its competitive edge, winning two NLS races with the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) while building towards a title defense in the Nürburgring 24, which ultimately did not succeed.
Upcoming Schedule
The second round of the 2026 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie is scheduled for Saturday, March 21. Further details about Scherer Sport PHX’s ongoing race program for 2026 will be announced soon.
This race marks a significant moment for Scherer Sport PHX as it aims to reclaim its position among the top competitors in endurance racing.
