Turner Motorsport Reveals 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Line-Up
Turner Motorsport has unveiled its driver roster for the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season, highlighted by the addition of reigning Grand Sport (GS) champion Luca Mars. The 19-year-old, who captured the GS title with RS1 last year—securing three wins, six podiums, and two pole positions—further solidifies Turner’s competitive edge.
Mars will partner with 2017 GS champion Dillon Machavern in the #95 BMW M4 GT4 EVO. Machavern, who also raced with RS1, prepares for dual events this season, competing in the BMW M Endurance Challenge alongside the iconic Rolex 24 At Daytona.
“I’m really looking forward to joining Turner Motorsport,” commented Mars. “They’ve had success with BMW, and I aim to learn the car and strive for another championship.”
Machavern echoed similar sentiments: “Heading into 2026, I’m optimistic. We have all the right pieces in place to contend for the championship and Luca’s proven track record is a welcome addition.”
In a strategic move, Turner’s #96 BMW will be piloted by the 2023 GS champion duo of Vincent “Vin” Barletta and Robby Foley. Despite racing together only four times in 2025—with a best finish of fourth at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park—the duo aims to leverage their championship experience for sustained success.
Foley, now entering his eighth season with Turner Motorsport, expressed enthusiasm: “I’m really passionate about this series, and we’ve had a lot of success in the past. I hope to continue that momentum.”
With three Michelin Pilot Challenge GS titles (2006, 2011, 2023) and a total of 30 race victories, Turner Motorsport looks poised for a competitive 2026 season.
Team owner Will Turner remarked, “I’m excited to bring together four GS champions. With this strong line-up and the best crew, I’m hopeful for a successful season ahead.”
The upcoming season begins with the highly anticipated races at Daytona, where teams will begin their bid for the championship title.
