Wright Motorsports Expands Lineup for 2026 SRO America Season
Wright Motorsports has confirmed its entry into the 2026 SRO America racing season, fielding three Porsche 911 GT3 Rs, including two in the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS. This marks their full-season return to the series for the first time since 2024, when team owner Adam Adelson clinched the Pro class championship.
Notable driver Ryan Yardley, the reigning Porsche Carrera Cup North America champion, will lead the #31 Porsche as he transitions from his debut at the Rolex 24 At Daytona to a complete campaign. Yardley will share the Pro-Am entry with Dave Musial Jr., who also contributed in this year’s Rolex 24.
Musial expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We wanted to position ourselves with the very best. Wright is second to none… Adam Adelson isn’t just the team owner—he’s a hardcore racer. We share the same passion and goal: To be number one.”
Yardley echoed these sentiments, emphasizing excitement about stepping up to GT3 competition.
Wright’s second entry, the #242 Porsche, will feature newcomer Therese Lahlouh, paired with experienced coach Thomas Merrill, a previous class winner at the Rolex 24. Merrill remarked, “Therese has worked hard and come a long way… Their knowledge of the Porsche GT3 R Evo will help us get up to speed quickly.”
Additionally, Dave Musial Sr. will compete in the full season of GT America powered by AWS in the #72 Porsche, marking his entry into the multi-class, single-driver sprint series for Bronze drivers.
The season opener at Sonoma is anticipated with high expectations for the newly formed partnerships and competitive ambitions.
