Gedlich Racing Unveils 2026 GT Summer Series Championship
Gedlich Racing has confirmed the launch of the GT Summer Series, set to debut in 2026. Building on the success of its GT Winter Series, this new championship will provide a competitive platform for a diverse range of GT vehicles, including GT3, GT4, and single-make categories like the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Ferrari Challenge, Porsche Cup, and McLaren Trophy. Additionally, the series will include GTX and Cup X categories for vehicles that align with specific performance criteria.
The series format features two 30-minute sprint races alongside a 50-minute pit stop race each weekend, complemented by free practice and qualifying sessions. Competitors can enter on a per-event basis for €4,000, ensuring accessibility for both amateur and professional racers. Gedlich Racing emphasizes the goal of allowing amateur drivers the opportunity to vie for overall victories in high-level GT machinery.
The GT Summer Series will traverse four esteemed European circuits: Hockenheimring, Oschersleben, Nürburgring, and Spa-Francorchamps.
Markus Gedlich, CEO of Gedlich Racing, stated, “The early success of the GT Winter Series spawned a full package of winter championships, and we aim to deliver a comparable package with the GT Summer Series project. We are excited to welcome both familiar teams and new competitors to our inaugural season.”
