Genesis Magma Racing’s Trajectory Programme Achieves Milestone Success Ahead of Hypercar Debut
Genesis Magma Racing is set to extend its Trajectory Programme into 2026 following a successful campaign in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) LMP2 class, aided by its partner IDEC Sport. The #18 IDEC ORECA, piloted by Mathys Jaubert, Dani Juncadella, and Jamie Chadwick, secured third place in the LMP2 championship, with notable victories at Barcelona and Le Castellet.
The initiative aims to prepare Genesis staff for the imminent GMR-001 Hypercar debut, allowing them to gain invaluable experience in a competitive environment. Over the season, 17 Genesis team members integrated with IDEC Sport, expanding to 30 during the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Jaubert and Juncadella’s performances have earned them promotions to the Hypercar factory lineup, while Chadwick will continue with a focus on development alongside her second ELMS season.
“We targeted top five results and challenged for podiums,” said Gabriele Tarquini, sporting director of Genesis Magma Racing. “We have far exceeded that with three race wins from six races.”
Team principal Cyril Abiteboul emphasized the importance of innovative decision-making in selecting drivers. “Their success has shown that this approach can deliver results,” he stated.
The Trajectory Programme has successfully identified talent suitable for the World Endurance Championship (WEC), with Tarquini noting, “The progress made by our drivers every round made it an easy decision to welcome Mathys and Dani to our WEC team for 2026.”
As Genesis Magma Racing looks ahead, its focus remains on maximizing performance and developing the next generation of endurance racing talent.
