Mathieu Jaminet to Depart Porsche at 2025 Season’s End
Porsche has confirmed that IMSA GTP champion Mathieu Jaminet will leave the brand at the conclusion of the 2025 season. The French driver has been with Porsche for a decade, beginning his journey as a Junior Driver in 2015 following a successful rookie season in the Porsche Carrera Cup France.
Jaminet transitioned to a factory driver role in 2020 after a successful background in customer GT machinery, which included winning the 2018 ADAC GT Masters title. He formed a powerful partnership with Matt Campbell that year, leading to significant successes in the IMSA GTD Pro championship in 2022 and the GTP championship in 2023.
With Porsche’s 963 programme, Jaminet has achieved five race wins and ten further podium finishes across three seasons, contributing to back-to-back GTP titles while consistently finishing no lower than fourth in the drivers’ standings.
In a statement on social media, Jaminet expressed gratitude for his time with Porsche, stating, “It’s been one of the hardest decisions of my life… thank you. We achieved things I once only dreamed of.”
He is set to drive the #5 Porsche Penske 963 Hypercar in his final race as a factory driver during the FIA WEC finale in Bahrain next weekend.
