Inter Europol Competition Expands for 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona
Inter Europol Competition has confirmed the addition of a second entry for the 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona, featuring two competitive lineups aimed at securing a strong title challenge in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s LMP2 class.
The No. 43 ORECA 07-Gibson will include full-season drivers Tom Dillmann and Jeremy Clarke, alongside Michelin Endurance Cup participant Bijoy Garg and returning driver António Félix da Costa. Da Costa’s previous stint at the Rolex 24 ended prematurely with mechanical failure, but the team later excelled, securing a Twelve Hours of Sebring victory and three consecutive runner-up finishes in the second half of the season, concluding third in the Teams’ championship standings.
Alongside the No. 43, Inter Europol will field the No. 343 ORECA, driven by two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner Jakub Śmiechowski, Bronze-rated Georgios Kolovos, Arrow McLaren’s Nolan Siegel, and WEC driver Nick Cassidy. Kolovos will make his IMSA debut with one year of LMP2 experience, while Śmiechowski and Siegel return after a season away and Cassidy makes a comeback since 2019.
Inter Europol Competition Team Manager Sascha Fassbender highlighted the significance of running two cars, stating, “We have two very strong lineups that should both be capable of fighting for the win… I’m really looking forward to this new chapter for Inter Europol Competition.”
Dillmann expressed confidence in the team’s continuity and emphasized their ambitions: “The goals are clear: to claim the championship again and add some iconic races to our achievements. The first one, Daytona!”
Siegel, eager to return to IMSA after a hiatus, remarked, “This is a race win that I’ve dreamed about for a long time, and going into it with this team and driver lineup is going to give us a good shot at it.”
The Rolex 24 is set to be a pivotal event for Inter Europol, with strong potential for both entries to contend for the overall victory.
