58th ADAC Barbarossapreis Set for Competitive Showdown
Nürburgring, March 21, 2026 — The 58th ADAC Barbarossapreis, the second round of the 2026 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), is poised to showcase a robust 136-car entry list this weekend, featuring 26 entries in the top-tier SP9 category. This marks the effective season opener after last weekend’s race was canceled due to inclement weather.
Headlining the event is the #3 Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing AMG GT3 EVO, piloted by Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen alongside Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon. This race will serve as Verstappen’s inaugural outing with the AMG GT3 EVO ahead of the prestigious ADAC 24H Nürburgring in May.
Winward Racing will field an additional entry with the #80 AMG GT3 EVO driven by Maxime Martin and Fabian Schiller. The race features strong competition from three BMW M4 GT3 Evos, including entries from Schubert Motorsport and ROWE Racing, along with various Porsche 911 GT3 Rs from Schnabl Engineering.
Notable updates include Konrad Motorsport’s upgrade of its Lamborghini Huracán GT3 to the Evo II specification, with driver Patricija Stalidzane joining the lineup. New entries in the Pro class include the #16 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II from Scherer Sport PHX, featuring Christopher Haase and Nico Hantke.
In the Pro-Am category, Hankook Competition’s #30 Porsche, KCMG’s #47 Mercedes-AMG, and HRT Ford Racing’s #65 Mustang GT3 Evo are among the notable additions. Meanwhile, Black Falcon Team EAE’s #5 Porsche will make its season debut in the Am category.
The SP-X class will debut the #81 BMW G81 M3 Touring 24H, driven by BMW M factory pilots Jens Klingmann and Ugo de Wilde, alongside Reiter Engineering’s #66 KTM X-Bow GTX.
