McAdoo to Miss 250SX East/West Showdown Due to Injury
Cameron McAdoo will not compete in the highly anticipated 250SX East/West Showdown this weekend, following a fracture in the top of his humerus. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider sustained the injury during a heat race crash at Seattle SX. Despite finishing fifth in the main event, subsequent scans revealed the severity of the injury, which McAdoo described as “a little bit more than just a monkey bump and some bruises on my shoulder.”
He reassured fans that the injury is not season-ending, stating, “see you guys very soon out there.”
In the opening six rounds of the 250SX West Division Championship, McAdoo’s performance has been notable. After a 22nd place finish at the season opener, he rebounded with five consecutive top-five finishes, including three podium appearances. As he heads into the showdown, McAdoo is currently sixth in the 250SX West standings.
Additionally, the Pro Circuit team will also be without Drew Adams, who is sidelined with a thumb injury from Daytona SX. Nick Romano has been signed as a fill-in rider for Adams and will make his season debut this Saturday, racing alongside teammates Levi Kitchen and Seth Hammaker.
