Heinrich Joins High Class Racing for ELMS Debut
Porsche factory driver Laurin Heinrich will make his European Le Mans Series (ELMS) debut this season with High Class Racing, teaming up with drivers Dennis Andersen and Anders Fjordbach in the #54 Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 (992.2). High Class Racing returns to the ELMS after a five-year hiatus, having previously competed from 2017 to 2020.
Heinrich, 24, is in his first season as a Porsche works driver and has already secured overall victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring. Prior to this role, Heinrich honed his skills in Porsche’s GT3 category, claiming the IMSA GTD Pro drivers’ title in 2024.
“I am extremely excited to debut in ELMS together with High Class Racing,” Heinrich expressed. “Together with Dennis and Anders, we will form a strong lineup. Even though it is my very first ELMS season, I expect to fight at the front.”
High Class Racing’s recent diversification includes participation in GT events alongside their prototype efforts. The team also recorded a commendable second-place finish at the Bathurst 12 Hour in the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Their long-term plan includes a return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Fjordbach remarked, “ELMS feels like a natural home for High Class Racing… We return with ambition, experience, and a highly motivated group of people.” Andersen added, “It means a lot to me to come back to the European Le Mans Series… and we are coming with a very competitive setup.”
The 2026 ELMS season opens at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from April 10 to 12, with a Prologue test scheduled on April 6 and 7.
