Garrett Marchbanks Holds Steady Amidst Team Changes in AMA Supercross Championship
Garrett Marchbanks has been carving out a strong presence in the ongoing 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, particularly as the sole representative for his team following the injury of Chase Sexton. With seven races remaining in the season, Marchbanks is focused on establishing consistency and breaking into the top ranks.
“I’ve been holding it down a little bit,” Marchbanks stated, reflecting on his solo efforts in recent rounds. “It’s been good so far. It’s nice to have everyone believe in me.”
Marchbanks aims to maintain a steady position within the top 10 while making strides towards the top five in upcoming races. He emphasized the importance of improving his starts, noting that consistent top finishes could significantly impact his campaign.
While the season has presented challenges, Marchbanks is grateful for the opportunity to ride for a factory team, highlighting the extensive testing and support he receives. “For this to all come around and be in place for me, it is definitely a dream come true,” he said. “I love putting in the long days with the team and all the testing we’ve been doing.”
With valuable experience gained from collaborative efforts with veteran test rider Broc Tickle, Marchbanks is optimistic about the impact of their ongoing development work. The focus remains on improving performance as the season progresses, underscoring a commitment to excellence as Marchbanks strives to maximize his potential on the track.
