Report on Devin Simonson’s Extended Contract with ClubMX Yamaha
Indianapolis, IN — Devin Simonson has solidified his position within the ClubMX Yamaha team, signing an extension that will see him compete in both 250SX and select outdoor rounds for the remainder of 2026 and throughout 2027. This development follows a challenging 2025 season impacted by a wrist injury, which limited him to only three races in the 250SX East Division.
The team announced Simonson’s contract extension, emphasizing that specifics regarding the number of outdoor rounds will be determined in the near future. Daniel Blair, now in a management role, confirmed the news in a recent YouTube update, stating, “It’s official: he’s extended. The room is done. I hope you guys like who is on the team because the bays are full! Devin proved himself, and we are very proud of you.”
In response, Simonson expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Yeah, thank you guys. I appreciate it. Stoked to be here again. Let’s get it!”
The 2026 season has marked a significant turnaround for Simonson. Currently competing in the 250SX East, the #89 machine rider has demonstrated notable improvement, securing a career-best sixth place in the Indianapolis SX Triple Crown earlier this month. He now boasts seven top-ten finishes in 250SX races, with five coming in the past two seasons.
Simonson’s trajectory from privateer to a key member of the ClubMX Yamaha team highlights his development as one of the most promising riders in the paddock. The upcoming seasons will be critical as he aims to build on this momentum and further establish his presence in the sport.
