CSC Generation Acquires Dennis Kirk to Enhance Powersports Portfolio
MERRILLVILLE, Indiana — CSC Generation (CSC) has announced the acquisition of Dennis Kirk, a prominent online retailer of powersports parts and accessories. This strategic move is aimed at fortifying CSC’s powersports division by integrating Dennis Kirk’s legacy with MotoSport.com, a subsidiary under Backcountry’s umbrella.
Founded in 1969, Dennis Kirk has evolved from a local storefront in Rush City, Minnesota, into a leading player in the aftermarket powersports sector. The acquisition aligns with CSC’s goal of creating a comprehensive platform within outdoor and powersports markets. Dennis Kirk’s established customer loyalty and extensive inventory in cruiser and snowmobile segments significantly enhance CSC’s existing offerings.
Justin Yoshimura, CEO of CSC, stated, “We were drawn to Dennis Kirk for its deep roots in the powersports community… Pairing Dennis Kirk’s strengths with MotoSport’s gives our powersports platform a much more complete story for riders.”
John St Juliana, General Manager of MotoSport.com, added, “Together, we give riders… a stronger home,” highlighting the complementary fit between the two brands.
Dennis Kirk will maintain its operations as an independent brand while continuing its headquarters in Rush City. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
This acquisition marks another step in CSC’s strategy to build a scalable platform in various consumer categories, following previous integrations within outdoor and culinary fields. As CSC seeks further expansion, they are looking for additional consumer brands to enhance their portfolio.
