KPX Motorsport Gears Up for GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup
KPX Motorsport is set to make its debut in the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, fielding the #77 BMW M4 GT3 Evo with drivers David Pittard and Jop Rappange. Competing in the Gold Cup class, the team was established by former colleagues Peter Kox and Nico Pronk.
David Pittard, a seasoned driver with previous GT World Challenge experience, noted, “GTWC Sprint is one of the most competitive championships in the world… I believe we can learn fast and challenge for class honours this year.” This marks Pittard’s first return to the Sprint Cup since his part-season campaign with Comtoyou Racing in 2024. He will also participate in the Nürburgring Nordschleife with KCMG this season.
Jop Rappange, making his Sprint Cup debut, has spent five years racing GT3 machinery and previously competed in the Endurance Cup. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the team, stating, “It may be a relatively new team, but it is built on a wealth of experience and knowledge.”
Peter Kox emphasized the team’s strong foundation: “As a former factory driver, David brings extensive experience. Jop is a fast driver who has increasingly transitioned his experience into results.”
KPX Motorsport has been focused on testing its new equipment, including recent sessions at the Slovakia Ring, under the guidance of technical director Uwe Isert. Kox remarked on his team’s aspirations: “We aim to make a strong impression in this championship, and I firmly believe we can achieve that.”
The season kicks off at Brands Hatch on May 2-3, 2026, marking a significant milestone for KPX Motorsport as they aim to carve a place among the elite teams in endurance racing.
