CLX Motorsport Signs Matthieu Vaxiviere for 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series
CLX Motorsport has confirmed that two-time European Le Mans Series LMP2 Pro/Am Drivers’ champion Matthieu Vaxiviere will drive the #37 ORECA 07 – Gibson LMP2 for the upcoming 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series season. Vaxiviere will be joined by LMP2 debutant Louis Stern, previously an LMP3 competitor, and Adrien Closmenil, who made his LMP2 debut with CLX Motorsport in the current European Le Mans Series.
Vaxiviere returns to the Asian Le Mans Series after competing in the LMP2 category for the last three seasons, achieving a notable victory at the 2024/25 season finale in Abu Dhabi while racing with ARC Bratislava. His move to CLX Motorsport marks a reunion with former co-driver Nicolas Lapierre, now serving as team principal. The duo previously shared the Alpine A480 Hypercar during the 2021 and 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship seasons, securing multiple wins.
“I’m thrilled to be joining CLX for this new challenge alongside Louis, and it’s great to be reunited with Nicolas Lapierre,” Vaxiviere commented. He expressed eagerness for the upcoming competition.
The 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series kicks off with two four-hour races at Circuit Paul Ricard in France from November 13 to 15, 2026.
