George Russell Unveils $2.7 Million Mercedes-AMG ONE Ahead of Miami Grand Prix
Miami, FL – George Russell has made headlines by revealing his newly acquired Mercedes-AMG ONE, a hypercar valued at approximately $2.72 million. The limited-edition model, one of only 275 units ever produced, showcases advanced Formula 1 technology and is recognized as a centerpiece of Russell’s automotive collection.
Russell expressed his excitement on social media, stating, “MY DREAM CAR!!! So honoured to own this car… Crazy that the engine is a modified version from our 2015 F1 car – the first ever Mercedes F1 car I drove. What a beast!!!” This sentiment underscores the special connection he has with the vehicle, which features a hybrid powertrain generating a remarkable 1,049 horsepower, significantly enhanced by a combination of a 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine and four electric motors.
Performance metrics of the AMG ONE are impressive, with capabilities that include a 0-62 mph time of just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 219 mph. The vehicle has set track records, including being the first production car to complete a lap at the Nürburgring in under 6:30.
As Russell prepares for the Miami Grand Prix at the International Autodrome, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff is optimistic about their prospects, emphasizing a commitment to improvement after a solid season start. “We have had a good start to the season but we have no sense of entitlement or complacency," said Wolff. "We are therefore hopeful of a more competitive showing.”
With high expectations from the team, all eyes will be on Russell as he competes, leveraging both his driving skill and the performance capabilities of his new hypercar.
