Mercedes-AMG Unveils 12-Car Roster for 2025 24 Hours of Spa
Mercedes-AMG has announced a robust lineup of 12 entries for the 2025 edition of the 24 Hours of Spa, strengthening its bid for a fifth overall victory. The event will take place from June 25-29 and features eight entries in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, complemented by an additional four entries.
Pro Class Entries
Goodsmile Racing will join the fray in the Pro category, fielding the #00 AMG GT3 Evo driven by three-time GT300 champions Tatsuya Kataoka and Nobuteru Taniguchi, alongside two-time FIA World Endurance Champion Kamui Kobayashi. This marks Goodsmile’s return to the race since 2019.
Mercedes-AMG’s roster also includes three other established Pro entries:
- #9 Botusen VDS: Maximilian Götz, Mikaël Grenier, and Maxime Martin.
- #17 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed: Jules Gounon, Fabian Schiller, and Luca Stolz.
- #48 Winward Racing: Lucas Auer, Matteo Cairoli, and Maro Engel, in the MANN-FILTER AMG GT3 Evo.
Winward Racing aims to expand its success from the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, with the #57 AMG GT3 Evo seeking Gold Cup honors, featuring Indy Dontje, Philip Ellis, and Russell Ward.
Additional Entries and Classifications
Winward Racing’s ambitions extend into the Bronze Cup with a third entry, the #81 AMG GT3 Evo, driven by Daan Arrow, Marvin Dienst, Gabriele Piana, and Rinat Salikhov.
Novice entrants Nordique Racing will debut with the #611 entry, driven by Kazuto Kotaka, Edoardo Liberati, Yuichi Nakayama, and Tim Sandtler, transitioning from a Pro entry in the GT World Challenge Europe season opener to the Gold Cup at Spa.
Defending Silver Cup winners GetSpeed will have two entries:
- #3: Anthony Bartone, Karol Basz, Tom Kalender, and Yannick Mettler.
- #6: Colin Caresani, Lin Hodenius, Tanart Sathienthirakul, and Aaron Walker.
The competition in the Silver Cup expands with the #10 entry from Boutsen VDS featuring Loris Caribou, Hugo Cook, César Gazeau, and Aurélien Panis.
British GT GT3 championship leader 2 Seas Motorsport will make a one-off appearance in the Bronze Cup with the #222 AMG GT3 Evo, alongside their #33 Aston Martin entry in the Gold Cup.
The lineup is completed by #4 CrowdStrike by SPS, defending its Pro-Am title with Colin Braun, Nick Catsburg, Ian James, and George Kurtz, now in partnership with SPS Performance.
Strategic Goals
Stefan Wendl, Head of Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing, emphasized the significance of the event:
“The 24 Hours of Spa is the biggest GT race in the world. We have a lineup capable of winning with four Pro cars. Overall victory is the clear objective for us, alongside defending the Coupe Du Roi.”
The full entry list for the 24 Hours of Spa is set to be released tomorrow during the opening day of the two-day Prologue test, marking a significant lead-up to this prestigious event.
