2025 Monaco Grand Prix: Ayrton Senna Tribute and Race Highlights

The 2025 Monaco Grand Prix weekend featured a unique homage to Brazilian Formula 1 icon Ayrton Senna. A stunning crystal helmet replica, crafted by British artist Tracy Stokes, made its debut, adorned with 49,104 hand-set Swarovski crystals and valued at £50,000. This helmet replicates the iconic design Senna wore during his 1988 Japanese Grand Prix victory, which secured his first championship title.

Former rival Alain Prost was seen with the helmet in the paddock, emphasizing Senna’s lasting legacy at Monaco, where the driver celebrated six victories. In addition, Racing Bulls driver Isack Hadjar sported a Senna-inspired helmet, showcasing statistics of Senna’s career, including his pole laps and wins.

“I wanted to pay tribute to the king of Monte Carlo,” Hadjar stated at a press conference. “As a kid, I watched clips of him dominating here. It was important for me to honor his legacy in this way.”

The event underscored the enduring influence of Senna within the sport, continuing a tradition that sees teams commemorate the legendary driver during this prestigious race.
