Goodwood Festival of Speed to Honor Formula 1 and Gordon Murray in 2025
The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, set for July 10-13, will commemorate 75 years of Formula 1 and 60 years of Gordon Murray’s influential automotive design. The festival will showcase 17 notable cars designed by Murray, including the legendary 1978 Brabham BT46B ‘Fan Car’, the dominant 1988 McLaren MP4/4, and the cutting-edge 2024 GMA T.50s Niki Lauda XP1.
"I can barely believe it’s been 60 years since I began designing race and road cars," said Murray. "I’m eager to reminisce with fans at Goodwood." His vision continues with the upcoming double debut of Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV), aimed at expanding their customer base and offering bespoke supercar options.
Phillip Lee, CEO of the Gordon Murray Group, emphasized the opportunity for new owners while continuing the legacy for existing customers. "We’re enthusiastic to share our unique automotive ethos through GMSV," he stated.
Noteworthy participants at the festival will include F1 legends such as Alain Prost, Sir Jackie Stewart, and Mario Andretti, alongside current F1 drivers like Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman.
