Sainz Shines in Monaco with Custom Ferrari Daytona SP3

Monaco – Carlos Sainz, now racing for Williams, was recently spotted in Monaco with fellow driver Lando Norris, arriving in style at a local restaurant in a bespoke Ferrari Daytona SP3. This high-performance hypercar, part of Ferrari’s prestigious ‘Icona Series,’ is recognized for its celebration of the brand’s racing heritage.

The Daytona SP3 is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine, delivering an impressive 829 hp and 514 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and boasts a top speed of 211 mph. Sainz’s uniquely styled model features matte grey bodywork, bold red striping, and custom branding, including the moniker "Smooth Operator." Only 599 units of this model were produced, making it a rare addition to Sainz’s collection.

Sainz received the Daytona SP3 in December 2024, coinciding with his final race for Ferrari. The emotional handover took place at Ferrari’s Monaco dealership, emphasizing his deep connection to the brand.

In terms of his career, Sainz has signed a two-year deal with Williams for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, with team principal James Vowles indicating this move as a decisive step forward for the team. Sainz remarked, “I am fully confident that Williams is the right place for me to continue my F1 journey.”

As of now, Sainz holds 11 points in the driver standings, positioned 11th, while teammate Alex Albon is 8th with 40 points, indicating a promising start for Sainz in his new role.

This season marks a pivotal transition for Sainz as he carves his path within the illustrious history of Williams, a team he admired in his youth.
