Exclusive Sale of Mansour Ojjeh’s McLaren Collection

An exclusive collection of 20 McLaren road cars, owned by the late Mansour Ojjeh, is now on the market. Ojjeh, a former shareholder in McLaren Group and TAG Heuer, passed away in June 2021. The sale is being managed by renowned classic car dealer Tom Hartley Jr., who recently facilitated the sale of Bernie Ecclestone’s historic collection for approximately $600 million.

This collection features each model’s final chassis number, including iconic models such as the McLaren Speedtail, P1, Senna, and the F1, the latter being the crown jewel. The last F1 model was uniquely finished in ‘Mansour Orange’, a color exclusively reserved for Ojjeh’s cars. Notably, aside from the F1 and the P1 GTR, which has limited track use, the vehicles remain in untouched, factory-delivered condition and have been maintained under direct instruction from McLaren.

Ojjeh’s tenure at McLaren was distinguished by significant achievements, including seven Constructors’ and ten Drivers’ Championships. He played a pivotal role in establishing McLaren Automotive and McLaren Applied Technologies, securing the brand’s reputation in automotive innovation.

Kathy Ojjeh, Mansour’s widow, remarked, “McLaren meant so much to Mansour. It was more than business; it was pure passion. This collection is a treasure for our family.” Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, emphasized Ojjeh’s foundational role at McLaren: “His collection is very special; I’m not aware of anything else that compares with it.”

Tom Hartley Jr. expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the Ojjeh family, stating, “The fact that it comes from the home of one of McLaren Automotive’s founding figures makes it truly unrepeatable.”

This unique sale not only represents a rare opportunity for collectors but also serves as a significant reminder of Mansour Ojjeh’s enduring impact on McLaren and motorsport.
