Mercedes’ Andrea Kimi Antonelli Graduates High School Amid F1 Commitments

Mercedes rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli has successfully graduated from high school, balancing his academic responsibilities with a challenging rookie season in Formula 1. The Italian driver confirmed his achievement via an Instagram post following his final exam.

After participating in the Canadian Grand Prix, Antonelli returned home rather than attending the film premiere of the upcoming F1 movie. He expressed relief post-exam, stating, “It went well, it didn’t go easy. I tried to do my best and now wait for the result.”

At just 18, Antonelli has managed to juggle racing with his studies, often utilizing any free moments to keep up with schoolwork. “Well, I’m not able to attend school, but I’m trying to study as much as I can,” he noted during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. He acknowledged the challenges of managing both, recognizing the need to conserve energy ahead of crucial race weekends.

His class coordinator, Alessandra Regina, praised his commitment, highlighting how he consistently sought help despite his travel commitments for racing. “He is a very humble boy, and his classmates support him,” Regina told ANSA. She affirmed that Antonelli deserved this accomplishment, having maintained focus on his education alongside his burgeoning racing career.

As Antonelli continues to make strides on the track, his determination to excel academically adds to his profile as one of motorsport’s promising talents.
