Lewis Hamilton Prepares for Next Career Chapter with F1 Film Premiere
Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, recently expressed mixed emotions ahead of the screening of the new F1 film he contributed to as a producer. Following a private viewing attended by drivers and team principals, Hamilton admitted feeling "nervous" about their reactions.
"I’ve seen it like 20 times already—at least," Hamilton shared, emphasizing the unique journey from the initial 30-page script to the final production. He acknowledged the film’s Hollywood nature, stating, "It’s still a Hollywood movie" that must balance realism with storytelling.
Hamilton noted the importance of feedback from fellow drivers, saying, "I really care what the drivers think. I wanted them to think highly of it." Despite potential inaccuracies, he highlighted the film’s visual and auditory excellence. "The sound is great, the image is incredible, it’s something that’s never been done before," he remarked.
The film features acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer, a collaborator Hamilton greatly admires. He praised Apple’s involvement, stating, "To get to meet Tim [Cook] and see their incredible setup was insane."
Looking ahead, Hamilton is focused on expanding his production company, Dawn Apollo Films. He has already drafted three new projects, including two animated features. "We will be producing more movies over the coming years," he confirmed, expressing enthusiasm for storytelling across various formats, including documentaries and TV series.
As the F1 film approaches its release, Hamilton’s shift towards film production signals a significant evolution in his career, blending his passion for motorsport with a new creative outlet.
