Haas F1 Team Prepares for Home Grand Prix with Strategic Updates
Austin, Texas – The Haas F1 Team, led by Principal Ayao Komatsu, is set to introduce minor upgrades at the United States Grand Prix, which could prove significant given the competitive midfield margins. With many teams shifting focus to their 2026 cars, Haas is among the few continuing to develop their current VF-25.
Komatsu emphasized his squad’s potential to secure a double-points finish at their home race, citing the razor-thin differences in performance. “We look at the problems in front of us, and I don’t see why we cannot be competitive,” he remarked in an interview with SiriusXM. He underscored that small changes can have outsized effects. “We lost P8 in qualifying in Singapore by four hundredths of a second. Even if our upgrade provides a similar gain, it helps.”
The new parts will be assessed during the first practice session, particularly crucial for the Sprint weekend format. Rookie driver Ollie Bearman expressed optimism about the updates: “We know the car is fast, and with the new update coming, I feel like this should be a strong weekend,” adding that it would be his first US Grand Prix with Haas, highlighting the excitement of the American fans.
In addition to the technical updates, Haas will unveil a special livery at Circuit of the Americas, aiming to amplify their presence at this popular event.
With the stakes high, Haas will look to capitalize on every detail to enhance their performance and solidify their standings in the championship.
