Lando Norris Celebrates Breakthrough Victory at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix
Lando Norris secured his first Formula 1 victory at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix, marking a significant milestone in his racing career. Following the race, Norris joined high-profile guests, including NFL star Travis Kelce, at the exclusive Carbone Beach supper club, a high-profile event at the heart of Miami’s F1 scene.
Carbone Beach, situated on the sands of Miami Beach, has become a premier social destination during F1 weekend, attracting celebrities and sports icons such as David Beckham, LeBron James, and Tom Brady. The venue, part of Major Food Group’s luxurious dining empire, was transformed into an extravagant setting featuring chandeliers, live performances, and gourmet dining for a limited guest list.
The unique concept was born following the inaugural Miami Grand Prix in 2022. Major Food Group co-owner Jeff Zalaznick saw an opportunity as demand for dining outstripped supply. Marissa Brooks, who leads the Carbone Beach events, stated, "We aimed to create something magical—a dining experience paired with the extravagance of F1." Guests at the event experience lavish multi-course meals complemented by surprise performances from renowned artists.
Tickets for the high-end experience come at a steep $3,000 per person, yet the guest list remains a mirror of the who’s who in entertainment and sports. Brooks emphasized the inclusive environment, stating, "There are no ropes between tables, allowing an unparalleled mingling of guests."
The allure of Carbone Beach extends beyond its Miami roots; it has been replicated in Doha for the Qatar Grand Prix, adapting the concept to local preferences while maintaining its essence.
Logistically, hosting such an event poses significant challenges. Brooks notes, "Managing power and logistics is crucial, especially when building on the beach." The event’s success hinges on delivering memorable moments for every guest.
As Carbone Beach gains fame, it’s now being compared to prestigious events like the Vanity Fair Oscars party. Brooks reflects, "We’ve created not just an F1 party, but the ‘it’ party in the country."
In summary, Carbone Beach exemplifies the fusion of luxury and motorsport, perfectly capturing the spirit of F1 culture. As Norris celebrated his achievement, the narrative of F1’s growth in the U.S. took another significant step forward.
