Hamilton’s Design Contribution and the Crescendo of Puma-Ferrari Partnership
Miami, FL – Lewis Hamilton has revealed his involvement in the design of a key feature of the Puma Speedcat racing shoe during an engaging conversation with TikTok influencer Madeleine White. Marking 20 years of collaboration between Puma and Ferrari, Hamilton highlighted his contribution to the shoe’s carbon fiber heel, emphasizing its role in enhancing pedal stability and support.
"I was responsible for the carbon heel part. They haven’t given me the credit for it," Hamilton lightheartedly noted, suggesting future aspirations for Puma gear, including the potential for a racing jumpsuit that aligns with his style.
Since joining Scuderia Ferrari, Hamilton’s influence has significantly impacted the Puma brand, with reports indicating an eightfold increase in Ferrari merchandise sales post-signing. He is now one of the key figures in this partnership, working alongside teammate Charles Leclerc.
Hamilton also shared reflections on his earlier fashion choices from 2005, recalling a transition from oversized styles influenced by pop culture to more tailored looks, which he felt didn’t represent his true self. "It was probably one of the periods of time where I was least happy,” he admitted.
In addition to his racing commitments, Hamilton continues to explore his passion for fashion, co-chairing the upcoming Met Gala, where the theme celebrates “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." His evolving style includes bold choices, as seen during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, where he sported a color gradient outfit symbolizing his transition from Mercedes to Ferrari.
As Hamilton continues to integrate into Ferrari, further collaborations with Puma can be anticipated, solidifying his impact not only on the track but also in the fashion world.
