Mercedes Reveals Special Designs for Miami Grand Prix
Mercedes-AMG Petronas has launched eye-catching helmet and race suit designs for drivers George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli in anticipation of the Miami Grand Prix. The suits incorporate a striking burgundy, pink, and silver palm tree motif, with Russell primarily donning pink while Antonelli sports a burgundy hue that complements his race suit.
The Brackley squad has also customized attire for reserve driver Valtteri Bottas and F1 Academy competitor Doriane Pin. This thematic approach has sparked speculation among fans about a potential special livery for the W16, with some questioning whether the car’s silver accents will transition to pink.
Team Principal Toto Wolff highlighted the significance of the Miami event, noting, “Miami is an iconic city and the whole event has become one of the set-piece races on the calendar.” Wolff affirmed that the weekend will feature various activations, including film premieres and technology forums, complemented by a special edition merchandise collaboration with Adidas.
With five races completed this season, Wolff expressed optimism for a “more competitive showing” in Miami, reflecting on recent challenges in Saudi Arabia. He stated, “We want to continue building on the positive trajectory established so far,” and expressed confidence that lessons learned from previous races will enhance their performance.
The Mercedes team is also eager to showcase Doriane Pin in a bespoke Miami livery, making this weekend a key highlight for fans both on and off the track.
