Sebastian Vettel Completes Harvard Course, Eyes Future in Agriculture
Four-time Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel has completed a four-day course on the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports at Harvard Business School, a program valued at £9,400 ($12,750). Since retiring from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season, Vettel has been active in various ventures, including investments in a new German SailGP team and initiatives supporting sustainable fuels and women’s involvement in motorsport.
In a recent interview with RTL, the 37-year-old expressed interest in further education focused on agriculture. "I am indeed going to school. I’m training in agriculture," Vettel stated. He noted that this training is designed to equip him to manage his own business, emphasizing his fascination with the future of agriculture.
Despite speculation surrounding a potential return to Formula 1 in a managerial role, possibly succeeding Red Bull’s Helmut Marko, Vettel clarified, "I think Helmut will be around for a very long time." He acknowledged a longstanding relationship with Marko and emphasized the importance of his contributions to the team.
Vettel remarked on the inevitability of succession within the team: “I believe we can still learn a great deal from Helmut… he is not replaceable." This reflects his deep respect for Marko’s impact on Red Bull Racing’s success since 2005.
As Vettel transitions from racing to new pursuits, his focus remains clear on education and sustainable practices within agriculture, signifying a thoughtful approach to his post-F1 career.
