Goodwood Festival of Speed Set to Celebrate F1’s 75th Anniversary

The Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place from July 10-13, promises a significant celebration of Formula 1’s 75th anniversary, attracting legendary figures and showcasing historic machinery.

Notable appearances include former world champions Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, and Mario Andretti, each representing decades of racing heritage. Mansell, the 1992 champion, will drive his iconic FW14B and FW11 models up the Hillclimb. “I can’t wait to drive the Goodwood Hillclimb in a number of my cars again,” Mansell stated.

Joining Mansell and Andretti are a host of F1 champions including Sir Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Jacques Villeneuve, Damon Hill, and Mika Hakkinen, all of whom will participate in the Champions class during the event.

The Haas F1 Team will also mark its 10th anniversary. Team owner Gene Haas will pilot the VF23, accompanied by current drivers Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman.

Newcomer Gabriel Bortoleto, driving for Sauber, will make his Festival of Speed debut with the C32, which was last raced by Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Gutierrez in 2013. "Driving the Hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is something I’ve always wanted to do,” Bortoleto remarked.

The event will also feature Williams driver ambassador Jamie Chadwick and Alpine reserve drivers Kush Maini and Paul Aron, who will drive the A523 adorned with the team’s 2025 livery.

This year’s Festival of Speed is primed to be a milestone in motorsport history, highlighting the enduring legacy of Formula 1 and its champions.
