Ferrari Teams Announce Driver Lineup for IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship
Indianapolis, IN – Conquest Racing and Triarsi Competizione have unveiled their driver rosters for the upcoming IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class in 2026, aiming for strong performances and championship contention.
Conquest Racing Lineup
Conquest Racing confirmed that Albert Costa will rejoin the team to partner with Manny Franco in the No. 34 Ferrari 296 GT3. Costa, the 2025 IMSA GTD PRO championship runner-up, previously raced for Conquest in 2024, securing a fourth-place finish in the standings. He expressed enthusiasm about his return, stating, “It really feels like coming home… now it’s about putting all of that in the same direction and fighting for the championship.”
Franco, entering his third season with Conquest, emphasized the team’s progress, saying, “This next year feels like the moment where everything comes together.” He highlighted the increased chemistry with Costa and the addition of Lorenzo Patrese, who will race in the five-race Michelin Endurance Cup after a successful run with AF Corse-run Cetilar Racing.
Thierry Vermeulen will additionally join the squad for the iconic Rolex 24 At Daytona, bringing his experience from the DTM series, where he drove for Emil Frey Racing. Team owner Eric Bachelart praised the assembled lineup, focusing on their cohesive technical team, stating that they are “focused on building a championship-caliber program.”
Triarsi Competizione’s Endurance Cup Campaign
Meanwhile, Triarsi Competizione announced its driver lineup for the Rolex 24 At Daytona, with Onofrio Triarsi and Kenton Koch returning to the No. 023 Ferrari. Koch, who played a pivotal role in securing the team’s first IMSA win at Road America mid-season, expressed anticipation for the endurance season.
Robert Megennis, who partnered with Triarsi at Petit Le Mans, will share driving duties with Koch, Triarsi, and reigning 24 Hours of Le Mans overall winner Ye Yifei. This season marks Triarsi’s first foray into both IMSA GT classes, complementing their new entry in GTD PRO.
As teams finalize their preparations, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship promises an exciting season ahead, with key drivers and teams gearing up to showcase their skills in pursuit of excellence.
