Tom Dillmann Crashes Out While Leading at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

In a dramatic turn of events during the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Tom Dillmann of Inter Europol Competition crashed while leading the Chevrolet Grand Prix, just 20 minutes from the finish. The incident is under investigation, attributed to a technical issue with the car.

According to the team’s statement, Dillmann lost control of his No. 43 ORECA 07-Gibson and made significant contact with the barrier. Emergency medical personnel quickly attended to him, and he was transported to the medical center for evaluation.

"Thankfully, he’s OK and that’s the most important news for us today," the team announced. "Motorsport reminded us once again how unpredictable and risky it can be."

Track workers assisted Dillmann from the damaged vehicle after he initially attempted to exit on his own. He was later taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation, remaining conscious and alert throughout the process. The team expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and concern from fans and the motorsports community.
