IMSA Announces Full Entry List for 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona

Daytona Beach, FL — The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) has confirmed a robust entry list of 61 teams for the upcoming 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona, set for January 22-25. This marks the fifth consecutive year that IMSA has achieved a full field for the endurance classic.

The roster comprises 11 entries in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class, 14 in Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), 15 in Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD Pro), and 21 in Grand Touring Daytona (GTD). Notable manufacturers represented include Acura, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Porsche, and Mercedes-AMG.

Driver Highlights

The event sees a diverse array of drivers from various motorsport disciplines. Four-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou will pilot the No. 93 Acura ARX-06 in GTP alongside Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly. His teammate, Scott Dixon, will drive the sister car, No. 60 Acura, with NASCAR’s AJ Allmendinger.

Making his Rolex 24 debut, Will Power, the 2018 Indy 500 winner, will drive the No. 75 Mercedes AMG GT3 for 75 Express in GTD Pro. Additional IndyCar stars include Marcus Ericsson and Kyle Kirkwood, both also competing in GTD Pro.

From Formula 1, reserves Frederik Vesti and Colton Herta will drive for Mercedes-AMG and Cadillac, respectively, while Kevin Magnussen will compete in the No. 25 BMW M Hybrid V8.

Recent Trends and Historical Context

Over the past decade, Cadillac has secured four consecutive overall victories from 2017-2020, followed by Acura’s three wins from 2021-2023, and Porsche’s victories in the last two years. The GTD Pro class has seen varied winners, with notable victories claimed by Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari, and Ford in previous editions.

In a notable lineup, AO Racing’s “Rexy” will field Nicky Tandy, the defending overall winner, in the No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Though competitive, no single manufacturer dominates the GTD entries, with Ferrari and Porsche each fielding a maximum of four cars, ensuring a diverse competitive landscape.
