Mathieu Jaminet to Depart Porsche After 2025 Season
Weissach, Germany – Porsche has announced that Mathieu Jaminet will leave his position as a factory driver at the conclusion of the 2025 season, marking the end of an impactful tenure with the brand. Jaminet has progressed from a junior driver to a championship-winning competitor in IMSA.
“The decision to leave Porsche at the end of this year was anything but easy for me,” Jaminet stated. “I will always be grateful to Porsche for all the opportunities it has given me. The Porsche brand will always remain in my heart.”
During his time with Porsche, the 31-year-old French driver captured notable championships: the Carrera Cup France title in 2016, the ADAC GT Masters championship in 2018, and the IMSA GTD PRO title in 2022. His accomplishments include victories at prestigious events like the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the Sebring 12 Hours.
Jaminet’s standout achievement came with his promotion to the IMSA GTP category in 2023. He finished second in the standings in 2024 with two victories and secured the GTP championship in 2025 alongside teammate Matt Campbell. The duo exhibited remarkable consistency throughout the season, achieving a total of six podiums and only one finish outside the top five.
Jaminet’s final race in a Porsche 963 is scheduled for next weekend at the FIA WEC season finale in Bahrain, coinciding with the conclusion of Porsche Penske Motorsport’s factory Hypercar program. He will compete in the No. 5 963 alongside Julien Andlauer and Hypercar rookie Laurin Heinrich. Further announcements regarding Jaminet’s future plans are expected soon.
