Ford Multimatic Motorsports Announces 2026 GTD PRO Lineup Changes
DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Ford Multimatic Motorsports has officially restructured its driver pairings for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD PRO class. Rolex 24 At Daytona champion Dennis Olsen and Ben Barker will assume full-time driving duties in the No. 64 Ford Mustang GT3.
Olsen, who secured Ford’s first global racing victory in the Mustang GT3 at Daytona last season alongside Christopher Mies and Frédéric Vervisch, transitions from a Michelin Endurance Cup specialist to a permanent wheelman for all GTD PRO races. Barker, who co-drove the No. 64 during the endurance races last season, will be his full-time partner.
The No. 65 Mustang will retain its lineup, with Mies and Vervisch continuing after an eighth-place finish in the 2026 standings. Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx, who placed third in points, will take over as new Endurance Cup drivers, with Rockenfeller teaming with Olsen and Barker in the No. 64, while Priaulx joins Mies and Vervisch in the No. 65.
Ford plans to debut a new Evo version of the Mustang GT3 at the Rolex 24, having conducted a preliminary test at Daytona in November. Olsen’s ambition remains clear: to capitalize on success as he embarks on his first full season in IMSA.
“Driving under the Daytona Beach welcome sign brought back many emotions. I want to build on our past successes with Barker and Rockenfeller by my side,” Olsen stated. He emphasized the significance of “America’s Race Team” succeeding in its home series, indicating Ford’s historical connection to motorsport and consumer culture.
Olsen acknowledged the necessity of the lineup change, stating, “We have a lineup of true championship contenders. Our goal is to showcase the updated Mustang GT3 and honor everyone’s hard work.” Looking ahead, he expressed confidence as they prepare for the upcoming season: “The target is – and always is – winning the championship.”
