Pfaff Motorsports Reveals Special Livery for Monterey SportsCar Championship
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca – Ahead of the TireRack.com Monterey SportsCar Championship, Pfaff Motorsports has unveiled a striking new livery for its No. 9 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2. This initiative continues the team’s tradition of presenting a special design at Laguna Seca, a venue that holds significance for the Canadian squad.
Team Manager Steve Bortolotti emphasized the team’s creative approach, stating, “The livery is a chance for us to get creative and have some fun throughout the season.” The design draws inspiration from vintage Motul liveries of the 1980s, aligning with the team’s nostalgic roots and passion for historic motorsport visuals.
For the first time, fans participated in choosing between two proposed liveries. The winning design was announced on April 11th and features a modern interpretation based on Motul packaging, meticulously crafted by C17 Auto Armour and refined through collaborations with both Pfaff and Motul’s marketing teams.
This year’s livery continues a lineage of themed designs, including a 2023 homage to Motul’s 1957 logo on a Porsche 911 GT3 R, and a 2024 tribute honoring Ayrton Senna with a classic McLaren 720S GT3 EVO.
After facing challenges in previous races, including a DNF in Daytona and a 10th-place finish in Sebring, Pfaff Motorsports aims to leverage the energy of this new livery as they seek a strong performance at Laguna Seca, where they previously secured a second-place finish in 2024. Drivers Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli are set to lead the charge for improved results this weekend.
