Turner Motorsport Reveals Driver Lineup for 2026 IMSA Season
Turner Motorsport, BMW M Motorsport’s longest-serving privateer team, has officially announced its driver lineup for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Veteran duo Patrick Gallagher and factory driver Robby Foley will return to compete full-time in the No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, while Jens Klingmann is set to join the team for the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona in January.
In the previous season, Gallagher and Foley secured fifth place in the GTD standings, achieving top-10 finishes in every race but missing the podium. The team looks to build on its late-season momentum as they prepare for 2026.
Joining the lineup is 24-year-old Francis Selldorff, who transitions from winning the 2023 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge GSX (GT4) title with Turner to the GTD category. His recent successes include a victory in the inaugural 10-hour Apex One Endurance series race at Sebring.
Foley expressed his excitement, stating, “We had an up-and-down season last year but built some great momentum towards the end… I’m excited to get going with Patrick, Francis, and Jens at Daytona.” Selldorff echoed these sentiments, calling his promotion to the endurance role a “massive dream come true.”
Turner Motorsport received accolades at the recent BMW M Night of Trophies in Munich, where driver Justin Rothberg was recognized as the top private driver, and the team was honored as BMW’s third-best private team based on its performances in IMSA and SRO America.
Team principal Will Turner reflected on the successful season, stating, “I’m so proud of my team and thankful for BMW Motorsport. I’m excited to see what we can do in 2026.” He emphasized the team’s commitment to building on past successes as they gear up for the upcoming season.
As Turner Motorsport aims for a strong start in 2026, the synergy between Gallagher, Foley, Selldorff, and Klingmann will be crucial as they seek a coveted victory at Daytona.
