United Autosports USA Set to Defend LMP2 Title at 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona

Daytona Beach, FL — United Autosports USA is gearing up to defend its LMP2 title in the upcoming 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona, fielding a renewed driver lineup in its two ORECA 07-Gibsons.

Returning champions Dan Goldburg, Paul di Resta, and Rasmus Lindh will pilot the No. 22 ORECA, bolstered this year by Swiss driver Gregoire Saucy. Saucy’s experience includes two seasons in United Autosports’ WEC LMGT3 program with McLaren, where he recently secured a second-place finish at the Qatar 1812km. He also brings valuable LMP2 experience from the European Le Mans Series and has previously raced with United in 2022.

In the No. 2 ORECA, 2020 Daytona LMP2 winner Ben Hanley teams up with Phil Fayer, alongside newcomers Mikkel Jensen and Hunter McElrea, the latter two being the reigning IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup LMP2 champions. Jensen and McElrea have previously triumphed together at TDS Racing, achieving four wins including back-to-back victories at Indianapolis and Petit Le Mans.

United Autosports CEO Richard Dean emphasized the significance of the event: “Winning the 24 Hours of Daytona is a monumental achievement, and one which we are extremely proud of. Going for back-to-back victories is bold, but with two driver line-ups that combine proven, race-winning United Autosports names and formidable new additions, we are putting ourselves in the strongest possible position to lift that trophy once again.”

The full season and Endurance Cup driver lineup will be announced later, with Fayer and Goldburg already confirmed for the entire duration.
