Report: Acura Meyer Shank Racing’s Line-Up for 28th Annual Motul Petit Le Mans

Acura Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) has announced its driver line-up for the upcoming 28th annual Motul Petit Le Mans, with a notable entry: Tristan Vautier will make his debut in the Acura ARX-06. Vautier will join regulars Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly in the No. 93 Acura.

In the No. 60 MSR Acura, the team will field its established endurance line-up, which includes Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, and Scott Dixon, who notably triumphed at last year’s Petit Le Mans driving for Cadillac. Dixon will be complemented by van der Zande and Sébastien Bourdais for this event, set for October 11.

Vautier, a versatile driver with previous experience in the No. 5 Proton Competition Porsche 963 during the Daytona and Sebring races earlier this year, has been competing full-time in the European Le Mans Series with CLX – Pure Rxcing. He fills a seat previously occupied by Álex Palou, who is unable to compete due to an upcoming court case against McLaren regarding an alleged contract breach. Kakunoshin Ohta is also unavailable, as Petit Le Mans coincides with a double-header round of the Super Formula Championship at Fuji Speedway.

Currently, Acura sits seven points behind Porsche in the IMSA GTP Manufacturers’ Championship and has a viable path to the title if one of its two cars can outpace the Porsche 963 entries during the race.
