IMSA Postpones Race 2 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park Due to Weather
The IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge’s Race 2, originally slated for Sunday morning at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, has been postponed due to severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms and lightning.
Safety was the primary concern for officials and participants, prompting the decision after extensive discussions among IMSA and CTMP representatives. Despite their efforts to find a suitable time slot within the weekend schedule for the race, logistical challenges related to team travel and border crossing influenced the final call to postpone.
IMSA is currently evaluating options to reschedule Race 2 during a future VP Racing SportsCar Challenge weekend. Further details will be provided once a new date is confirmed.
