Ron Ruzewski Appointed Team Principal of Andretti Global’s IndyCar and Indy NXT Teams

In a strategic leadership move, Ron Ruzewski has joined Andretti Global as the new team principal for its IndyCar and Indy NXT teams. His appointment follows the transition of Rob Edwards to Chief Performance Officer for TWG Motorsports, Andretti’s parent organization.

Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports, expressed confidence in Ruzewski’s capabilities: “Ron’s impressive and successful career in motorsports brings a new perspective to our IndyCar and Indy NXT teams. I have full confidence he will position the team strongly as we continue to build for the future.”

Ruzewski’s history includes a notable tenure at Team Penske, where he was part of the leadership until his release in May. This transition marks a reunion with fellow Penske veteran Will Power, who will pilot Colton Herta’s No. 26 Honda for Andretti starting this season.

“I’m truly excited to be joining Andretti Global and becoming part of such a respected and ambitious organization,” said Ruzewski. He highlighted the legacy of Andretti in motorsport and expressed eagerness to work with the talented engineers and drivers to elevate the team’s performance.

Edwards, reflecting on his new role, noted, “I’m excited about the new opportunity as Chief Performance Officer for TWG Motorsports. Ron is a great choice to lead the Andretti programs forward.”

Towriss acknowledged Edwards’ contributions over the past decade, emphasizing the importance of his new role in fostering collaboration across multiple racing series, including NASCAR, IMSA, and Formula E.

This appointment positions Andretti Global strategically as it aims for enhanced competitiveness within IndyCar and its broader motorsport initiatives.
