Alex Palou Achieves Historic Eight Wins in 2025 IndyCar Season

Laguna Seca, CA – Alex Palou has cemented his place in IndyCar history with an impressive eight victories in the 2025 season, surpassing the career totals of notable competitors and making significant strides on the all-time win list. His achievements in just 14 races over 147 days are unmatched, placing him among the elite drivers in the sport.

Heading into 2025, Palou was tied at 11 wins with Adrian Fernandez and Johnnie Parsons, ranking 40th on the all-time IndyCar victory list. With his recent performance, he now sits 25th with a total of 19 wins, overtaking legends such as Gil de Ferran, Tommy Milton, and Dan Wheldon.

“It’s amazing to be in the position I am today,” Palou stated after reflecting on the names he has surpassed. “I never thought about records; my dream was just to be a professional race car driver.”

Palou’s eight wins place him among only five drivers in IndyCar history to achieve this within the first 14 races of a season. He joins an elite club that includes A.J. Foyt and Mario Andretti, further establishing his dominance this year.

Looking ahead, Palou is on the cusp of entering the ranks of all-time greats like Emerson Fittipaldi (22 wins) and Bobby Rahal (24 wins). “If I can get into the 30s, I’ll be competing for a top 10 spot all-time,” he remarked.

“This season has been a little bit crazy,” he added. “I’m just riding the wave and enjoying every second of it.”

Palou’s performance not only highlights his skill but also reflects the strength of his team at Chip Ganassi Racing, setting the stage for a promising future in IndyCar racing.
