This race marked Ferrucci’s second podium in three races, central to honoring Sexton, whose financial support through Sexton Properties was vital for his multi-year contract with the team.
As her daughters, Tracy and Nicole, attended the race, Ferrucci expressed his gratitude: “I would not have had a full season ride without Larry [Foyt] and her support… to have the daughters here, it was hard not to be emotional about it.”
Ferrucci affirmed the significance of Sexton’s belief in him by achieving five top-five finishes in the last four events. His performance trajectory includes a fifth-place finish at the Indianapolis 500, followed by second at Detroit and a fifth at World Wide Technology Raceway, rising to 11th in the championship standings.
